Mandy Sydo is Director of Operations of Welcome Home Ministries Africa.
 Mandy is married to Pastor Lukas Sydo of Calvary Life Fellowship. They live in Orange, California.

Over 40 years ago, Luke and Mandy transplanted to America from Australia. Luke trained as a mechanical engineer, and Mandy as a registered nurse and midwife. It is Mandy’s nursing background that has given her the ability to work with the orphanage to bring it to a healthy and safe place, able to care for the children’s needs.

Luke now visits yearly to Uganda. He offers support at the home base, which is in their home. Mandy is a full-time volunteer and Board Member in both countries, making three trips a year for a month at a time to continue to work on improving the home and train the staff.
