Simon comes from The Netherlands.

He is an adoptive father of two and is married to Truida. They live in Urk, a typical Dutch fishing village and has his own company in industrial and household tile work and gravestones.

Simon has served as an Elder in his church and he comes to volunteer at Welcome Home frequently.  Simon has assisted with a vegetable garden and is establishing a brick building plant, which will provide job opportunities for residents in the local area.
